Gearbox Housing

I machined a precision gearbox housing to enable proper gear and shaft meshing.

I utilized Siemens NX to do the CAM. The part was machined out of a 6061 aluminum billet in three CNC operations on a Haas VF2. A milled fixture plate was utilized to perform the final operation. Three press fit operations were performed on the inside to hit sub-thou tolerances.

Steering Rack Housing

I produced a custom steering rack housing ensuring accurate geometry to support the vehicle’s steering kinematics and packaging constraints.

I utilized Siemens NX to do the CAM. The part was machined out of a 6061 aluminum billet in two CNC operations on a Haas VF2. A third operation was performed on a manual Bridgeport mill to drill and ream the rack through-hole.
